Sam van Schooten B.v. is a flower bulb company located in the heart of the Bollenstreek. With more than 20 years of experience in the field, they can guarantee you quality and professionalism. "From the country to the customer!" Sam Schooten says. From growing the flower bulbs to packaging them, they do it all themselves. Due to the versatility and flexibility, they are able to meet the needs of garden centers, florists and gardeners.

How it started….

"If you grow up between the flowers and plants you are infected with it, so was that in my case too. My father had a flower nursery and as a little boy you soon walked along. After the horticultural school I started cultivating flowers and perennials myself. And then you try to sell your self-cultivated plants. One thing leads to another, and so I started delivering a small assortment of garden centers, shops and gardeners.

Started in a barn of my father and with my bedroom which served as an office, a start was made. With little resources and a lot of manual work, grow and pack everything and deliver it. Thanks to my parents and loyal customers, my company grew. In 2002, I moved to a new nursery at the Torenlaan. A beautiful new greenhouse and barn, which changed a lot. Enough space for cold storage and machines and the first employees were hired. Now 21 years later we are a team of 20 employees and we have a modern company specializing in growing and packaging plants and flower bulbs to deliver to the specialist.

With our collection of more than 1500 different types of packaged and loose bulbs, plants and gift items, we now deliver our products in more than 15 countries."
